Google Panda Penalty
If you see your website or blog performed well previously and now the visitors start to decline on regular basis, that might be the Google Panda at work.
You may escape the rage of Google Sandbox. But this time around it’s very hard to escape the Google Panda. It detects your site very fast and punish the “low qualite sites” accordingly.
Panda penalises not only a website which has a suspected scrape content from other websites. More than that, it also takes action to a similar contents within the same sites. Even if those contents not 100% similar. It’s not clear though how many percentage a two artcles would be called similar which deserve Panda punishment.
So, if you have two or three or more articles which seems more than 60% similar, it’s strongly advised to remove all those articles but one. Merge all those three into one as suggested by Amit Singhal, the Google Panda team, in a blog post here.
If you still enjoy the Google juice now, do whatever it can to avoid the Panda penalty. The reason is clear, no search engine can give you the most traffic other than Google. Thus, you have to “listen and obey” of whatever Google say about quality website guideline.
Year 2011 is a year of Google Panda. This means a year of quality and serious articles do matter to Google. It’s not about the number of how many articles you have posted to your website. It’s about how quality your articles are. So, write a few quality articles is a lot better than many low quality ones.
